Midterm Portfolio requirements

Assignments for March 23rd—Midterm Portfolio

1) 4 images (negatives included) from Pinhole camera/lens

2) 2 – 4 camera-less images (photograms or cliché verres)

3) 2-4 prints from paper negatives

You may want to make use of resin paper for your negatives, unless you are bold and have lots of time to expose salt prints!

The negatives can also be worked on—manually or digitally—to enhance or transform it. Consider ink, pencil, watercolor, plastic, paper, as well as Photoshop.

4) Tintype from March 16^th meeting.

Note bene: If you want to improve on any work submitted in class using one of these principles/processes feel free. I’ll grade on the basis of the procedure and the quality of the result—how richly explored. Push these materials!

Minimum of 8 – 12 images plus tintype.

There will be a short visual quiz and also you will be asked to describe the following processes:
